任竹梅，女，博士，山西大学生命科学学院二级教授，博士生导师。中国昆虫学会资源昆虫专业委员会委员，国家林业和草原局资源昆虫培育与利用重点实验室学术委员会委员。主要从事分类学、系统发育学、生物地理学、生物信息学和分子进化生态学以及演化基因组学方面的教学和科研工作，研究对象涉及昆虫、植物、微生物、哺乳动物、鸟类等重要生物类群，采用形态特征分析和不同的分子标记以及基因组分析相结合的方法，重点研究重要资源昆虫五倍子蚜与其寄主植物和内共生菌的系统发育与协同演化关系，围绕该领域，先后主持并完成国家级、省部级科研项目10余项，包括国家高技术研究发展计划“863”项目子课题、国家自然科学基金项目、山西省科技厅重点研发国际科技合作计划项目、山西省自然科学基金项目、山西省回国留学人员基金项目、山西省海外学者研究项目和美国斯密森尼研究院学者研究基金项目等，先后在《Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution》、《BMC Genomics》、《International Journal of Molecular Sciences》和《Biology》等国内外进化生物学权威学术期刊上发表论文80余篇，其中SCI收录论文40余篇，参编专著1部。并于2008－2019年间，曾先后四次赴美斯密森研究院进行学术交流访问，现已培养博士研究生2名，包括1名留学生，硕士研究生28名，现有博士后2名，在读博士研究生4名、硕士研究生8名。
